Oil Analysis

Oil Analysis can be carried out on transformers, gearboxes, compressors and hydraulic machinery and can be performed during routine preventive maintenance.

A small amount of oil is drawn into a clean bottle which is sealed and sent to a laboratory for analysis. This is usually carried out before planned shutdowns.

If any additives, contaminants or wear debris are found, action can then be taken during the shutdown period. Trends can be established by taking samples over a period of time to prevent costly repairs.
